CHRISTIANE

CV:
I was born in 1966 in Switzerland, near Basel. I attended the Rudolf Steiner School in Basel. I then studied Waldorf education in Witten-Annen. After completing my studies, I worked as a eurythmist in kindergartens and then as a teacher in a school specializing in spiritual development.
I then trained as a specialist teacher and subsequently worked at the LVR School in Düsseldorf. While working, I also completed a degree in theater education.
One focus of my professional work has been "basic theater." This special form of theater gives me the opportunity to actively involve my students, with their special needs, in the respective stories without any preconceived notions.
In the beginning, I designed the rooms around the corresponding themes. This required a lot of material and time. Over time, I limited myself to fewer materials and thus less time, by no longer designing the room but instead using materials to bring the story to life. However, this still felt like too much material was being used. So the idea of creating "basic experiential instruction" grew.
In "basic experiential learning," the room design is replaced by digital images and films, and materials are reduced to the essentials. "Basic experiential learning" no longer takes place in a single room; the hallway, schoolyard, kitchen, and classroom are also incorporated, varying depending on the story.
Based on my experiences, I have developed "basic experiential instruction" in various subjects such as geography, history, physics, and mathematics, and possibly in the future also in art, music, and German. It is important to me to expand on the traditional "basic theater." In this new form, the students experience the ability to actively create experiential worlds through media contributions and analogue offerings, thus giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in new worlds.

Brief information about me:
I'm 67 years old and have been out of the education sector since the summer. I continue to actively participate in Rasch meetings, a regional working group for the support of students with severe disabilities.
I worked at a special needs school for children with intellectual development. I taught primary school there for the past few years.
It has always been important to me to include students with increased care needs, according to AO-SF§ 15 Intensive Pedagogical Support for Severely Disabled, in the lessons and thus enable them to actively participate.
I also offered art, music and theater clubs for these students.
We have been collecting our developed materials for several years and now finally want to publish them for anyone interested.
My current situation finally allows me to concentrate on this project.
